POLYETHYLENE

C4 LLDPE

There are several variations of linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), originating from Octene C8, Hexene C6 or Butene C4, all having a variety of densities: from high (up to 0.941 g/cm3) to very low (0.905 g/cm3).

LLDPE is used for film extrusion, blown film, roto moulding and injection moulding. Applications include not only packaging for food and frozen goods, hygiene packaging, industrial films for agriculture and technical packaging but also cosmetics and pharmaceutical applications.

IVICT C4 LLDPE Grades

C6 mLLDPE

In addition to conventional LLDPE, we also supply cutting-edge C6 metallocene LLDPE. It is the combination of a unique metallocene-catalyst and gas-phase technology, which enables us to offer you a very specialized form of ethylene-high-α-olefin (1-Hexene)-copolymer LLDPE.

This material combines superior strength with clarity and excellent heat-sealing properties. Our customers appreciate its excellence in physical properties and processability. This is why it is widely used in numerous packaging applications and adds great value to our daily life.

Applications and properties often associated with our C6 mLLDPE:

  • Downgauging / Mono material
  • MDOPE / BOPE
  • Recyclability
  • Low temperature sealing
  • Strong impact resistance
POLYPROPYLENE

Polypropylene (PP) is a thermoplastic made from propylene monomers. You can find it in many applications of consumer packaging, but also in technical industries like automotive, construction, white goods or furniture. Suitable for extrusion blow moulding, Injection moulding and general-purpose extrusion.

PP is distinguished between homopolymers and copolymers, which are further divided into block copolymers and random copolymers. Homopolymer polypropylene is a general-purpose grade. Block copolymer has co-monomer units arranged in blocks and contains between 5% to 15% ethylene, which improves properties like impact resistance. Random copolymer has co-monomer units arranged irregularly/in random patterns along the molecule and contain 1% to 7% ethylene. Suitable for applications which require more elasticity and transparency.

BIOMATERIAL

We offer a high-quality mineral-based biopolymer made from a unique combination of renewable ingredients, which is approved by TÜV Rheinland and complies with the European standard EN 13432. This high-quality biopolymer is a renewable GMO-free raw material. It is biodegradable, and compostable and contributes to the reduction of microplastics on land and in the ocean.

Compared to conventional plastics and paper, it has significantly lower CO²-emissions when incinerated. Whilst other existing biomaterials exhibit one or more of these qualities, none of them combines all, making this high-quality biopolymer the most versatile biomaterial available: renewable, biodegradable, compostable, recyclable and convertible to bioenergy.

This biodegradable material is a very good candidate for replacement of conventional plastics currently on the market, including PP, PE, PET and PS. It can be used in existing machinery and allows more energy-efficient production due to lower temperature needs.

We offer this product for a wide range of applications, including film blowing, injection moulding, thermoforming, bottle blowing and sheet extrusion.

MXD6

MXD6 is a crystalline polyamide based on m-xylenediamine (MXDA) and polycondensated with adipic acid. It is an unique polyamide which cannot be compared with conventional PA6 and PA66 due to the aliphatic polyamide containing an aromatic ring in its principal chain.

Thanks to MXD6 and its excellent gas-barrier properties against oxygen and carbon dioxide, we benefit from long shelf lives and good food quality. An essential effect is that thinner packaging structures will be achieved, and food stays protected by smart functional packaging and keeps longer fresh which reduces the amount of food waste.

MXD6 works well in multilayer and monolayer structures with polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and other polyamides (PA). In combination with polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) multilayer is required for co-injection moulding and co-extrusion.

Applications are:

  • PET Preforms and Bottles
  • PET Sheets
  • BOPP/BOPA Films
  • Cast-Films
  • Automotive parts
Polycarbonate

We offer Polycarbonate (PC) with excellent properties like superior impact strength and good chemical resistance. PC has a glass-like transparency, high toughness with good heat resistance and high dimensional accuracy and stability. Potential applications are:

  • Injection moulding
  • Extrusion and blow moulding of water bottles
  • Security windows
  • Skylights
  • Automotive lamps
  • Light parts
POLYOXYMETHYLENE

We offer Polyoxymethylene (POM) with excellent properties, such as high crystallinity, as well as superior abrasion, creep behaviour, fatigue and chemical resistance. Due to its mechanical strengths and excellent low friction and dimension stability, POM is used for technical parts in various product areas:

  • Automotive abrasion-resistant sliding parts
  • Fuel-related parts
  • Electronic components
  • Gears
  • Plumbing parts
